• 30 Day Challenge – Day 19

Webster defines “pet peeve” as something that a particular person finds especially annoying. Key word here?  “Especially”.  Something that when it happens really chaps yo ass! Now…..we can have those little pretty much insignificant pet peeves — like, “why can my husband put his dirty dish in the sink but NOT in the dishwasher, which is right next to the sink?”  (Yes, that’s one of mine.  Seriously.  I think it’s bad wiring or something. —> insert face palm emoji <—) But those aren’t the kind of pet peeves we’re talking about right now. I want you to dig deeper.  Like, really deep. Today’s challenge exercise – And the second part…

  • 30 Day Challenge – Day 18

Remember when I was talking about “picking ourselves apart” and being our own worst critic? It’s a damn epidemic! I’m fat. I need to lose some weight. My thighs are too big. My thighs look like sticks. My arms are more like wings. My butt needs its own zip code. I don’t have a butt. I wish I didn’t wear glasses. And on and on and on. Just. Stop.  Maybe there is some things you want or need to make some changes with.  Listen….we all have our own lists.  But even with the extra pounds our health would probably benefit from dropping or those glasses that keep sliding down your…

  • 30 Day Challenge – Day 17

I’m gonna be 100% totally honest with you here……(well, I always am but I’m about to make a statement that not long ago, I never would have made.) I’m 57 years old.  In 5 days – on January 22 – I’m turning 58.  And I’m okay with it.   As a matter of fact, #over55sowhat #over55andfabulous #aginggracefully #agingwithattitude But wait……this is a little more complicated than all that.  (Of course it is!)  Obviously there’s a whole list of things I don’t like about my current number.  I don’t like that statistically, my life is probably more than half over.  I can’t imagine “getting old” and not being able to do the…

  • 30 Day Challenge – Day 16

Not gonna lie……this could be a touchy subject for me! Creating habits. No…..I didn’t say “breaking habits”.  I said “creating habits”. And girl, from the list of habits I should break, there’s a list right next to it of habits I should create to replace them! (insert my favorite face palm emoji!) But wait.  I’m getting a little off track here because this is not an exercise that involves picking yourself apart and making a list of all your bad habits.  It’s not an exercise in thinking about all the things you think you want or need to change. Nope. As a matter of fact, it’s just the opposite.  And…

  • 30 Day Challenge – Day 15

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  You’ve made it to the half-way mark! Give yourself a big ‘ol high five because you deserve it! Today is going to be a “take a deep breath and reflect” exercise. I want you to head to your comfy spot with your notebook + paper, light a candle and read back over the first 14 days of our challenge. If the mood hits and you feel like adding to each day, do it! The main point of today is to simply reflect on what you’ve already written.  Really think about each day. If one day grabs your attention more than another, there’s a reason……so focus on that day. Do…

  • 30 Day Challenge – Day 14

GROWTH! Uh oh.  Hold on.  We sorta touched on this already.  So many times growth comes from chaos.  And in chaos, there’s usually change. Big changes.  Little changes.  From the “nobody will even notice” to the super profound…..we all go through change. Today’s challenge exercise might be fairly easy for you!  For some (this girl right here) it may seem like you’re starting a novel….. Don’t just consider the easy stuff.  Think about ALL of it.  Your daily habits.  Your daily thought process.  Your lifestyle.  Your relationships. Every single area.  Because every single area is a part of YOU.
